About GHRP-2

GHRP-2 is among the peptides researched in the context of the growth hormone (GH) axis. Binds GHS-R1a on pituitary somatotroph cells, activating the Gq/PLC/IP3 pathway to trigger pulsatile GH release. Considered among the most potent GHRPs by peak GH output, with a cleaner profile than the related GHRP-6.

Research Application

Studied as a research tool to probe pituitary GH secretory reserve and characterize dose-dependent GH-release pharmacodynamics — distinct from the more appetite-stimulating GHRP-6 and the structurally related hexarelin.

Research Overview

Numerous preclinical and some clinical studies exist on the GH axis, with evidentiary strength varying by substance.
