About FOXO4-DRI

FOXO4-DRI is studied in research on cellular energy metabolism and longevity. In senescent cells, the transcription factor FOXO4 sequesters p53, blocking its apoptotic function. FOXO4-DRI competes with endogenous FOXO4 for p53 binding, releasing p53 and selectively triggering apoptosis in senescent cells while largely sparing healthy cells.

Research Application

A key candidate in senescence and aging research: in the original study, FOXO4-DRI improved fitness, fur density, and kidney function in aged mice, and accelerated recovery from chemotherapy.
