About Melanotan II

Melanotan II is studied in dermatological and anti-aging research, e.g. in relation to skin and pigmentation models. MT-2 simultaneously activates multiple melanocortin receptors (MC1, MC3, MC4, MC5), which is why effects on pigmentation, appetite, and sexual function are described in parallel.

Research Application

Studied in research on pigmentation, appetite regulation, and sexual function, since it activates multiple melanocortin receptors simultaneously. Clinical development was discontinued before Phase 3 and never submitted for FDA approval.
