About Cardiogen

Cardiogen is studied in tissue regeneration and repair research, including cell and animal models. A proliferation-promoting effect on cardiomyocytes via a peptide-DNA mechanism is proposed; in organotypic culture, picomolar concentrations increased proliferation in both young and old rat heart tissue.

Research Application

Discussed in relation to aging heart tissue; one tumor study also reported a growth-inhibiting effect on sarcoma in aged rats. All data are preclinical; no human clinical studies exist.
